Snowmen Paintings

Hello everyone,
I have two new snowmen paintings to share with you that I just listed in my Etsy shop today. They're both miniature paintings that measure approximately 4 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches. I painted them on "recycled" wood plaques from the thrift store. Both images are also available on coffee mugs, which you can purchase from my Zazzle.com store HERE.

The first one I call "In the Meadow We Can Build a Snowman." It's a long title for a painting, I know, but that's what this trio of caroling snowmen is singing!

...and this one is titled "A Jolly, Happy Soul."

I'll be listing several new paintings and items in my Etsy shop in the next two weeks (the link is on my sidebar.) I really can hardly believe it's time to start thinking about snow and Christmas, but our trees are almost all bare and the color is gone. I usually don't think of decorating for the holidays until after Thanksgiving, but I must admit, I'm looking forward to the lights and pretty decorations to brighten up the grey days.

Speaking of brightening up my days...look who I found admiring himself in the mirror this morning!

Buster!

He does this most mornings and it just cracks me up! I think it's his morning ritual - to admire his handsomeness in the mirror before he starts his day!

I hope you're having a good week so far...

Until next time,
Cindy

An Announcement and A Group Hug!

Thanks to everyone who visited and for your wonderful comments on my last post about my altered birdhouses! Really - I was overwhelmed with the response, so consider this a group hug!

Now for my announcement ~ my Etsy Shop, "Art For Every Season," is open for business! It's a new venture for me and I'm really excited! I'll be featuring collage and altered art pieces, as well as original paintings. You might also find a vintage teacup or two there ~ so, if you care to take a look, I've added a link on my sidebar.

The aforementioned birdhouses are in my shop, and here are a couple of recent collage art pieces that are also listed. Both are on recycled canvas boards, ready for hanging, and I've added bits of lace, vintage buttons and other pretty embellishments.

I hope everyone has a good week ahead. I can't believe it's March already!
Until next time,
Cindy

Angels at My Door ~ Book Review

Today is a special day for my friend, Cindy Adkins (yes, she and I share the same first and last names ~ but more about that on a later post!) Today, I'm happy to annouce the publication of Cindy's new ebook on Amazon ~ Angels at My Door!

Cindy is a fabulous mixed media artist, writer, blogger who lives in New Orleans. Her new ebook is filled with inspirational, true stories and experiences that happened to Cindy and also features stories from several of her blogging friends (including one from me.)  When I started reading Angels at My Door, I could not stop until I'd finished the whole book! I must say in today's world with so many horrific stories on the news, Cindy's book is uplifting and filled with hope and miracles that will astound you! To find out more about Cindy's ebook or to order, click HERE.

Cindy has also created a free seminar to go along with her book that is available through her blog, Whimsical Musings. For more information about the seminar, click HERE.

Cindy is the author of four other ebooks, including "Blog From the Heart: A Woman's Guide to Blogging."  In addition, she creates beautiful, one-of-a-kind shabby chic inspired art pieces, designs custom blog headers and blog buttons, and runs her own Etsy shop! This is one busy woman whose talent, energy and generosity I greatly admire! To visit Cindy's blog, Whimsical Musings, click HERE:

A Special Thank You!

Hello Everyone,

Imagine my surprise when I opened my email and learned that I was receiving a special gift from Jane at Flora Doora! For those who don't know her, Jane makes gorgeous bags that are designed to be filled with fresh flowers and hung from a doorknob, a hook, a cabinet door - anyplace where you want to add a bit of joy! Jane sells her bags at a shop in her hometown of Sarasota, Florida and she also has an Etsy shop. This is the adorable bag I received, hanging from my front door:

I adore the polka dots! I think it will look so pretty filled with pink tulips in the springtime, don't you agree?
