Welcome 2012!
Best wishes to all my blogging friends and family! Thanks so much for your friendship, support, feedback and inspiration this past year! I'm taking the next couple days off from blogging, so "see you next year!" First, though, I'm leaving you with a photo taken in the small town of Port Clinton on the shores of Lake Erie (near where I live.) Known as the "walleye capital of the world," the citizens of Port Clinton know how to party on New Year's Eve. Times Square has their ball drop at midnight...well, the people of Port Clinton drop a giant fiberglass walleye fish from the sky!

The fireworks are gorgeous, Cindy! Happy Pink Saturday and Happy New Year!
I think that's so fun when small towns have their own celebrations.
See you next year.

Those wild and crazy Port Clinton-ites. Too fun.
Have a very happy New Year with family and friends.
Always, Queenie
The walleye drop is just too funny!
A very Happy New Year to you and yours, Cindy!
Hi Cindy ... they hydrangeas used to make the cone are fake ... they were spayed with something too...don't know what it is but they have a texture to them so they have a nice weight to them. I think you could use dried but would have to use tacky glue for that...there is a super tacky glue (Ailenes) that would probably work.

Thanks so much Cindy for your support on my daughters new cake blog. She is tickled to know that she is getting some followers. She is truly talented. Makes and designs each little fondant design, but for Christmas, her sweet husband got her the Cricut Cake machine. She will be cutting fondant to go along with her own work. And she is the sweetest little gal around. Thanks also for commenting on my blog. I really hope you have a super 2012.
I just love that "Walleye Drop"!!! That is so LOCAL!
Cindy dearest, thank you for coming to visit yesterday! I saw your kind comment last night, but I was so tired! Today is my last day on vacation from school, and tomorrow, I go back to teaching. It has been great fun to stay home and create, and I so appreciate your words about my birds.
I wish you a wonderful new year and I am looking forward to a great year of blogging with you! Anita
